On my to the bus stop I got me some breakfast at a local thingy. Once on the bus I had no idea when I had to get off the bus, so I just got off at a corner that was familiar to me and was not that far from the John Charles Centre for Sport.
I arrived before anyone so it was just me in the dryland. Rebecca Gallantree was the first to walk in. About ten minutes later Hannah Starling and Alicia Blagg walked. It was great seeing them for real. Though it was early in the morning so we were all silent. I heard a knock on the door, I looked up and saw Yona through the little window. I opened the door for him. Edwin walked in soon after."okay, I was just expecting one." He said. Edwin had workouts on paper so he gave it to them and they started their training. I more or less watched them do the workouts. They're all professional diver so didn't really comment on anything. Its also really great watching them dive so it wasn't boring or anything.
After their training session I literally had to hours of nothing. Thats becausr the don't have session between 1200 and 1400. I used my time to write down the things that I've learned and found remarkable in the trainings.
At 1400 Hannah walked in again, I didn't know she'd back so soon today. Then I expected Matt because they I would spent a lot of time with him, but when I heard a knock on the door and looked up I saw Chris Mears and Jack Laugher to my surpise. Two amazing divers! And good looking, sorry Mr. Van Helleman, I just had to say it. Edwin and Yona joined a little later and Edwin introduced me to Chris and Jack. Again I mostly eatched but I also had film Chris and Jack for Edwin. Hannah also. Hannah always smiles, I like to refer to her as happy Hannah. It was a good training session. Right after this session there were the lessons. I joined Hariett's group. They have a lot of groups in the lessons and they lessons each take half an hour. Edwin had given me an assignment. I had to switch from Hariett and Yona's group every thirty minutes and then pick one kid and count how many dives he or she makes in the lesson. So I started with Hariett's and then Yona's. There were six lessons in total. I counted both Hariett's and Yona's group twice. I also did a bit of coaching with Hariett.
It was a great day. Got to know everyone a little better and met those other great divers. Tomorrow we start at 800 and I might even participate in one of the sessions.
